I'm so sad to say that R&B icon Teddy Pendergrass died last night after a battle with colon cancer.
He was 59.
My adopted mother used to blast his records all over the house.
I grew up on songs like "Turn off the Lights,""Close the Door" and "Love TKO."
I loved how the Philadelphia native was honest with his feelings and raw with his emotions.
There will never be another like Teddy P.
