NOTD: My own creation:)

I saw this gorgeous color called "Teal We Meet Again" in Sephora but didn't have the $9 to buy the bottle so I decided to make my own version of the color.

I mixed Nicole by OPI's "Wild Blue Yonder," L.A. Girls' "Teal" and Sinful Colors' "Paris" in a little sample jar.

Here's what the mixture looked like before I mixed it.

Mix, mix, mix!

And here's the final result. What do you think?

Sephora Haul:)

I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately and trying to figure out what makes me happy and Sephora is definitely on that list.
Call me shallow.
I don't care.
But I feel like a queen when I come out of Sephora.
One reason why I heart that store is because they give you a free gift when it's your birthday.
I recently went in there over the weekend to do some birthday shopping and pick up my birthday gift.

Here's a pic of my haul:

I bought three Sephora brand natural pencils, a container of Pacifica solid perfume and I got several samples including lotion, a little tube of Dior mascara, philosophy moisturizer and a DERMAdoctor sample.

And here are some pix of my little eye gift. It's so cute:

Here's the box.

In the box. The shadow is called "Aspen Summit," the pencil is "Silver Green" and the mascara is a lash plumper.

Out the box. I think this is going to be my little travel make-up kit because the items are so small and cute.

Swatches of the products.

Walgreens and Target Hauls:)

It all starts with you going into a store for one thing.
Next thing you know, you come out with the WHOLE store.
That's how I recently ended up with all these polish goodies from Walgreens and Target.
Walgreens is having this super clearance on selected beauty items and I got several products for 50 to 75 percent off. And Target always has some kind of crazy sale going on.
Here's what I got:

-Sally Hansen's "Dazzling" which is a gorgeous metallic red. (75% off)
-Sally Hansen's "Ruby Sequin" which is a pretty bubblegum pink. (75% off)
-Wet n Wild base coat and "Ice Blue Pearl" which is a sheer hue with blue undertones. (50% off)
-Essie matte finish ($2)and quick drying drops ($4)

Here are swatches of Sally Hansen's "Dazzling," "Ruby Sequin" and Wet n Wild's "Ice Blue Pearl."

I'm back....sorta

Hi all!

New job.
New apartment.
New life.
I'm still getting settled in my new surroundings but things are working out very well for me.
I'm very blessed, extremely happy and sooo thankful for how things have turned out recently.
O, and I just got Internet set up on my home computer so I'll be able to post several times a week now.
Beauty and music reviews will be around shortly.

Cheers!

Sally Hansen natural lipstick and lip shine review

Name: Sally Hansen Natural Beauty color Comfort Lip Color and Natural Shine Lip Gloss

Game: I usually don't wear red lip on my lips. There's such a powerful vibe that I think it gives off and I think you have to be very confident to have fire-engine or cherry red on your lips. Plus, I feel safer wearing nude or pink hues on my kisser. But most of that has changed recently because I picked up a Sally Hansen natural lipstick and lip shine from CVS as part of their beauty clearance event. The lipstick in "Soft Red" is so creamy and is a nice shade of red for my complexion. It's soft by itself, but it comes alive with the "Just Cherry" lip shine. Sadly, I'm feeling both products together, not alone, but I guess that's a good thing. I've always been a big fan of Sally Hansen products and really like that she has line featuring natural ingredients. These two products have won me over.

Taliah Waajid African Healing Oyl review

My scalp is just like my skin. Dry and DRY.
To combat dandruff and what I like to call desert scalp, I have to add oil to my hair every single day to keep it moisturized.
My loctician recently recommended Taliah Waajid's African Healing Oyl for me.
I've been using it for some time now and like it.
It doesn't dry as fast like other oils I've used in the past.
The oil is light, smells sweet and I really like that I can rub it on my skin after I get done massaging it into my scalp.
It costed $8 for an 8ounce bottle and that price is worth it for this multi-purpose product.
