NOTD: Penguin Nails!! Oh Yeah!!

Penguin nails

Oh! Em! Gee!
That's what I said to myself when I first glanced at this penguin nails design!
It's sooooooooooooooooo cute!!! And of course, I had to try it for myself.
First, I used SinfulColors' Snow Me White to paint my base.
Then, I painted an oval-like shape for the penguin's body using SinfulColors' Black on Black.
Next, I painted the white part of the body.
Finally, I painted the hair, hands, and mouth.
What do you think? Will you give this penguin mani a try?
I promise you, it's not hard to do at all!

1. SinfulColors' Amethyst:
What a pretty purple polish! (Try saying that ten times!)

2. J-Lo:

I love Jennifer Lopez. She's the Queen of Reinvention and never gets old. Get it Jenny from the Block!

3. SinfulColors' Midnight Blue:

I love me a good royal blue polish, especially one for 24 cents!

4. Makin' Frankens:
I love making and mixing and matching my own polishes!

What about you? What's going on in your world these days? What's on your tips and toes? What music are you listening to?

NOTD: SinfulColors' Zeus

Thank you Lord.
More accurately, thank you Zeus.
The polish that bares your name from SinfulColors is such a pretty hue.
This smoked out purple with the o-so-freaking-beautiful pink shimmer is gorgeous.

Take a peek of it on my tips:
And here is Zeus with a coat of Sally Hansen's DVD:
I'm in lurve with this $1 beauty. Another good polish from SinfulColors.

NOTD: Strawberry nails!! Oh Yeah!!

Strawberry nails!

Hi there!

Hope you're week is going as well as mine is!
Today, I wanted to share a recent nail design I did: strawberry nails!
I was inspired by all of these talented bloggers who posted these strawberry nail art pics on their websites.
The design was very easy to do.
First, I painted my nails red using Sally Hansen's All Fired Up. Then, I dotted my nails with Maybelline's Sunshine.
Finally, I used Revlon's Posh to do the leaves. The leaves look like they're dripping onto the nail because I used my dotting tool to draw them on. Time for a new nail art brush!
But there ya go: strawberry nails!

I received lots of compliments about this look and might try it again before summer ends.

What do you think? What's currently on your nails?

One-Word Beauty Reviews

Hi, hope you're well!
Here's another installation of my one-word beauty reviews:

1. Gud from Burt's Bees: Good.
This thick, heavily scented body butter has been keeping my limbs moisturized this summer.

2. Revlon Grow Luscious liner in onyx: OK.

A basic black liner. Nothing special. Didn't help my eyelashes grow, as the package implies.

3. Lavanilla's The Healthy Deodorant: Refreshing.
Hands down, one of thee absolute best deodorants I've used in my life. It was worth every $10 I paid for it from Sephora. Plus, the lavender scent is an added bonus.

4. Naokeidoe Natural handmade soap in Angelic: Heavenly.
My body's been loving suddsing up to this handmade bar of soap. It smells so soft and has been cleansing my body so nicely.

5. Rimmel Extra Wow Lash: Wow!
I paid about $3 for this baby and it does its job. Been extending my lashes, as it claims to do.

Time for Five

Hi there; hope you're well!
Here are five things I’m really into right now:

1. This beautiful Indian scarf:
This came from a friend, one of my favorite Indians. Isn't it beautiful! It's my new fave scarf!

2. These cute rose-designed leggings:
I wore this during a night out on the town and got lots of compliments!

3. Greek Yogurt Masks:
I've been loving Greek Yogurt masks! They've been keeping my face baby soft and I love the fact that I'm not wasting food!

5. Alternating Manis:
I love playing around with my polishes. This one reminds me of Easter. Polishes used here include Milani's Mint Apple, Rimmel London's Wild Orchid and Revlon's Coastal Surf.

What about you? What are you into these days? What's making you happy?

What I've been eating lately!

Hi there; hope you're well!
I wanted to share with you some things I've been eating lately:

Lentils and tomatoes over a bed of warm rice:
Lentils are some of my fave beans. They're so easy to make.

This big 'ol thing of garlic because I eat A LOT of garlic:
Trust me, this will get eaten in like two weeks!

This German bread I got from Marshall's:
This was a bit tart but the sweetness of the jam balanced out the taste of the bread.

Fried fish:I grew up Catholic and always ate fish on Fridays. This one didn't come out right. Don't judge. I cooked it on high instead of medium. If at first you don't succeed...

Chocolate-covered peeps:
This was my sweet treat during Easter time. Just getting around to posting this pic. I loves me some Peeps and these babies were so good! Yum!

NOTD: Rainbow Nails!!

Hi there; hope you're well!
Wanted to share a recent nail design that I did: rainbow nails!

Here were my supplies:
My supplies included nail polish, nail paper, a cosmetic wedge, a Q-Tip and polish remover.

This package of cosmetic wedges had been sitting in my bathroom forever and I finally found the perfect use for them, since I rarely wear foundation:
I dabbed my polishes on the wedge a la a rainbow:
And then I pressed the wedge onto my finger like this:
And this was the end effect:
Polishes used were: SinfulColors' Snow Me White, Sally Hansen All Fired Up, Revlon Siren, Maybelline Sunrise, Revlon Posh, Ulta Bluestreak and Brash Toxic Purple.

I love the end result. It's colorful and fun, after all, it's a rainbow!

DIY: Making my own pizza!

During a recent trip to Trader Joe's, I came across some pre-made pizza dough.
All you had to do was shape it and add your topics. Easy, I thought. So I bought it.
I'd been wanting to make my own pizza anyways. Here's how I did it:

I shaped my dough into a round:
Then, I added pizza sauce:
Feta cheese toppings came next:
Then, my seasonings went on my pizza:
Now for the fun part, toppings!
I baked for about 20 minutes and dinner was served:
The pizza was OK but I found the dough to be too "bready." Overall, it was a good effort though.

Have you made your own pizza? What are you eating these days?
