French manicure with matte tips

I've never been a really big fan of French manicures because they've always seemed so boring to me.
But I bought these Nailene Perfect Pedicure strips on clearance from RiteAid for 99 cents to experiment with some Frenchie designs:



I used "Gorgeous" from SinfulColors:


And I ended up doing a Frenchie using matte tips:


It's OK, not my best nail look. What do you think?
