Hi, hope you're well!
Here's another installation of my one-word beauty reviews:

1. Various products: Gone!
It's always a good day in the neighborhood when I finish up a product!

2. Love & toast candy apple lip balm: Sweet.
I'm a huge fan of this line and this lip balm both worked and tasted sweet!

3. Love & toast grapefruit handcreme: Fruity!

This baby did my hands and feet justice!

4. Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm: Meh.

There's nothing special to report about this lip balm. It was just OK.

NOTD: Ladybug Nails!!!

Ladybug nails!
Hi there!

Hope you're well.
I recently saw this picture featuring the ladybug nail art design and of course, I had to try it out for myself!
I started off with a base of Sally Hansen's All Fired up.
Then, I painted a half moon over the tip of my nail using SinfulColors Black on Black.
Next, I painted the antennas  and dots.
Then, I painted the eyes on using SinfulColors Snow Me White.

What do you think? What's on your tips and toes?

NOTD: Cupcake nails!! Oh yeah!!

Hi there!
Hope you're well.

Today, I wanted to share some cupcake manis with you!
Sorry I'm just getting around to posting this mani. I did these during my birthday, around early July.

Here's a design intended to invoke vanilla cupcake nails with chocolate frosting:
Mo cupcake nails
I used Maybelline's Sunshine, Revlon's Chocolate Truffle, Revlon's Fuchsia Fever, Wet n Wild's Jewelry Heist and a white L. A. Colors nail art pen.

Here's a design intended to invoke strawberry cupcakes with vanilla frosting:
Birthday nails!
I used Revlon's Mod Mauve, Essie's A Cut Above, Revlon's Fuchsia Fever and a white L.A. Colors nail art pen.

I used Revlon's Wind Fall, Wet n Wild's Party of Five Glitter, Revlon's Fuchsia Fever and a white L.A. Colors nail art pen for this look:
My 1st attempt @ cupcake nails! Yeah!

It's so easy to do. Just paint a base coat. Then add vertical lines. Then add the frosting, and lastly, the glitter and cherry.

I loooooooooooooooooove cupcakes so having them on my nails is just as good as having them in my tummy!

What do you think? Have you tried this mani before? Will you? What's on your tips and toes?

A heartfelt eulogy to some recently purged polishes:(. Sniff, sniff

Dearly departed,

We gather here today to mourn the loss of a big chunk of my nail polish collection.

Sadly, the polishes in the above photo are used up. All gone.

They made for good base coats and nail art though. Sniff. Sniff.

Lord, Jesus they were so pretty; too sexy for their own dam, bottles!

I'm going to miss their creamy, sparkly, shimmery finishes. Sniff.

I'm very thankful for all of the prettiness they brought into my life, onto my nails.

May they rest in polish peace.

Polishes used in this post include Revlon Jelly, Borghese Raspberry Sorbetto, Aldo Teal the Spotlight, Revlon Metallic, N.Y.C. Love Letters, Wet n Wild Inferno, N.Y.C. Fashion Avenue Fuchsia, Sally Hansen Mystic Lilac, 10 second Roll Back Prices and Revlon Winter Mist.

NOTD: Cat Nails (these kitties are pretty!)

Cat nails!
These kitties are pretty!

Hi there, hope you're well!
I'm feeling catty today, as evidenced by the above picture.
The cat mani on this website inspired me to recently create my own cat manicure.
It was sooooooo easy, of course:)
First, I used Revlon's Fuchsia Fever as a base.
Then, I painted three quarters of my nail black using SinfulColors' Black on Black for the cat's face.
Next, I painted on the ears.
Finally, I painted the eyes, mouth and whiskers.
And meow, I had my cat nails!

Have you tried this kind of mani? If not, you should.

NOTD: Corset nails!! Rawr!

Happy Sunday,

Hope you're well!
Today's mani is for the grown and sexy: corset nails! Ooooooooooooh yeeeaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehe.

I was inspired by this beautiful photo and my take is below:
Corset nails

OMG, this soooo easy.
I started off with a base by using SinfulColors Black on Black.
Then, I painted a red strip in the middle by using Sally Hansen All Fired Up.
Next, I painted dots using a silver L.A. Colors nails lacquer and then I connected the dots by drawing on black lines using a black L.A. Colors nail lacquer.
I love this look. It's so sexy and I think men will get a kick out of it.

What do you think? What's on your tips and toes?

Music that's been blowing my mind!

Hi there!

Hope you're well! I wanted to share some music and singers that I've been loving lately:

"Refill" by R&B newcomer Elle Varner:

Varner's being managed by the same people that managed Lauryn Hill. She's got a nice voice and I love this song!

Anything by Cymande:

I first heard this song on a local old school radio station one recent Sunday and I was immediately hooked to this rare groove funk group. I will be looking for their stuff on vinyl if I can find it!!

Anything by Mandrill:

I read about this group from my co-worker's very well-written and informative music blog and have fallen in love with their brand of funk and jazz. Again, I'm looking out for this Panamanian-American's stuff on vinyl.

"You're All I Need" by Method Man and Mary J. Blige:

This song is a Hollyhood classic. I love just love it. That is all.

"I Say a Little Prayer" by Aretha Franklin:

Can't mess with Queen Aretha. I love this song.

What about you? What songs and singers are you loving right now?

NOTD: Sunset nails!! Oh yeah!!

Hi there!

Hope you're well! I am and so are my nails. W00t!! W00t!!
I recently did this sunset/palm tree nail design using another tutorial from SimpleNailArtDesigns on Youtube:
Sunset nails

Here's the tutorial:

Of course, this design was easy to do.
First, I sponged on Maybelline's Sunshine, Revlon's Fuschia Fever and Revlon's Siren for the sunset background.
Then, I used my black L.A. Colors' black nail lacquer to draw on the palm tree and birds.
And that was it. Seriously.
I loved this mani because it reminds me of a tropical vacay in the Caribbean somewhere!!

How's your week going? What's on your nails? And have you been trying some of these easy nail designs that I've been posting? If not, shame on you!! They're too easy and fun to not try:)

NOTD: Kite Nails!! Oh yeah!!

Happy Sunday!

Hope you had a good weekend!
I've done so much nail art lately that I've been behind in posting my designs.
But today, I present to you what I'm calling my kite in the sky nails:

Kite nails

I was inspired by this tutorial from the very talented lady at SimpleNailDesigns on Youtube. Here's her video:

Of course, I changed up a few things. I applied about four coats of SinfulColors' Cinderella for the sky. It made thee perfect blue background and I didn't feel like I needed to sponge on clouds. Actually, I didn't feel like it:)
Then, I used my black and pink L.A. Colors nail lacquers to draw the kite on my nails and voila! Too easy!

What about you? What's on your nails? Are you planning on doing any nail art?

I have LOTS more nail designs in the works. Can't wait to show you!! Hope you have a happy, positive and productive week.

A Poem in Polish: Polka Dots

Let me tell you, my friend,
About the latest polish trend!
They're circles that can cover messy spots,
O my! I love this polka dot trend a lot!

They add some fun to your tips and toes,
Who created this trend? Who really knows?

What I do know is that my nails look fun!
And without polka dots on them, they are not done!
